In-person Worship Action Plan
Updated June 2021

The goal of this action plan is to return to in-person worship in the most safe and meaningful way possible, in accordance with CDC guidelines and recommendations.

  1. We strongly encourage members who feel sick or have a family member that is sick to stay home and watch the service online.
  2. No greeters until further notice.
  3. We will provide attendance sheets in the bulletins and encourage congregation members to leave them in the pews after service.
  4. Ushers will pick up attendance sheets after service.
  5. Worship will be limited to a single service at 9:30am on Sundays.
  6. Worship leaders (pastor, assistant minister, singers, and pianist) will not wear a face covering during the worship service.
  7. No acolytes until further notice.
  8. No full choir rehearsals/performances until further notice.
  9. The nursery will be closed until further notice.
  10. The changing table will be moved to the Wittenberg Room.
  11. The entire upper parking lot will be considered handicap parking ONLY and members with disabilities will be encouraged to park in the upper lot to limit elevator use.
  12. Offering plate will remain in the narthex and will not be passed.
  13. Bulletins and PowerPoint will contain all needed text and lyrics.
  14. Communion elements will be set before the service begins and not brought to the front during the service.
  15. Communion will be distributed by pastor and assistant minister (only one station), one family group at a time.
  16. During communion, pastor and assistant minister will wear gloves.
  17. An usher will invite each family group individually to come forward for communion.
  18. We will continue to stream the services live using our streaming equipment
